Mindy is probably the most selfless friend I have. She’s someone who will give you two hours of her time when she only has an hour to spare. She’s always there for everyone and I don’t see how she does it. I often feel lucky that she gives me so much of her time to go on little trips and spend some days together sight-seeing and such. And boy, have we ever done some memorable trips over the years!
2015 - Lakemont Park, Conneaut Lake Park, Waldameer, & Cedar Point
Of all the trips we’ve done, I’d have to say my favorite had to be our trip to Cedar Point. We had three days for our trip, but only dedicated the second one to Cedar Point. While it was our highlight of the trip, it wasn’t our only stop. Our Day 1 travels saw us make a number of stops along the way – three of which were small amusement parks. We hit up Lakemont Park, Conneaut Lake Park, and finally Waldameer, before getting our room at Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point. That next day though, was so memorable.
Staying at Hotel Breakers gave us early entry into the park. I had also purchased the Fast Lane Plus passes, so we were able to ride every coaster in the park at least once. Some of them we hit up two or three times. It was one hell of a day!
2018 - Indiana Beach, Holiday World, & Kentucky Kingdom
Running neck and neck with that trip, however, would be our 2018 trip. This three day journey saw us visiting Indiana Beach, Holiday World, and Kentucky Kingdom. We also threw in a stop at Indiana Caverns, which is another thing I love to do. Don’t be surprised if I add in some blogs about cavern stops around some of the park adventures I find myself on.
I’m always looking forward to new adventures with Mindy and I’m sure she is as well. With as busy as she is, I know getting out and spending the day at a park is a much-needed break from the norm for her. I can’t wait until our next trip and the many more in the years to come. And with her daughter, Mailyn, now a part of the We Were Invited Flight Crew, that’s one more wingman for us both to ride with.
