Twist-N-Shout - Malibu Jack's: Lexington

Malibu Jack’s: Lexington – Spinning to a Stop #3

For those of you following along with all the trip reports from this nine day trip, I’m sure you were expecting the Beech Bend report. Without getting into too much detail here, things did not go as planned after arriving at Beech Bend. After we walked in, we found Kentucky Rumbler closed. Their SBF Visa, closed. The log flume, also closed. Long story short, the park agreed to exchange our tickets to come back the following day before we flew home. We did manage to ride the Haunted House and Wild Mouse, but I’m just going to combine both days into one report since we were there for such a short time today.

With that happening to us, Sam had mentioned that she had a friend in Kentucky – Lexington to be exact. She hit her up and asked her what she was up to. She was free after work that evening, and Lexington just so happened to be where the third Malibu Jack’s and a Buc-ees was located. Change of plans!

This coaster's name & placement inside was similar to the Lousivlle location.

You Spin Me Right Round, Baby, Right Round: Round 3

My quest for 100 SBF Visa spinners continued with this stop. This time Sam and I were joined by her friend, Asia, who works right around the corner from Malibu Jack’s. She had never checked it out before, so this was a first time visit for all three of us.

There would be no toddlers riding with us this time, thankfully, but we sure told Asia all about it. Needless to say, she was also shocked at what we experienced. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, check out, “Malibu Jack’s: Elizabethtown – Spinning to a Stop #2.”

Twist-n-Shout

Hell to the yes! Not only another SBF Visa spinner, but another one named Twist-n-Shout too. Maybe I should change my goal to not only have 100 SBF spinners, but have 100 SBF spinners named Twist-n-Shout. What do you think? Maybe if I can achieve this, SBF Visa will gift me one to put in my back yard. That would be sweet. I’d name it Shout-n-Twist to be original.

All kidding aside, we were lucky once again with our spinning. This one was a little more intense, which was fine. We weren’t coming off a long day of rides since we only spent a few minutes at Beech Bend. I think Asia also had fun riding it with us, so that was a plus.

It was nice getting to hang out with Sam's friend, Asia, for a bit due to our plans at Beech Bend not working out.

A Change of Plans Made Good

While it did suck to have to alter our plans the day of with the ride closures at Beech Bend, it all worked out in the end. I know Sam was bummed walking out of that park, but like I told her driving after we dropped Asia off at home, she would have never gotten the chance to finally meet her friend had it not played out that way. The first time she made plans to meet her, Covid got in the way. And here we were, a spur of the moment change of plans, and they’re finally getting to meet.  It turned out to be a fun, relaxed evening – a nice change of pace, honestly. And hopefully Beech Bend will work out the second time around.
