CAG Report – January 2023 Recap

Hello everyone. Before I begin this installation of the monthly CAG Report for January 2023, I want to share that I am still around. I’ve just a little occupied as of late. In past CAG Reports I shared that I was in the midst of a job search. Things took a little longer than I would have liked, but I was able to find employment doing something related to graphic design. It’s more on the production end than design/layout, so it’s been a learning process. So far, minus some new guy hiccups, things have gone pretty well.

The job is 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. I wake up at 6:45 a.m. and usually don’t get home until 5:30 p.m. or a little after. Add in the fact that I’ve been trying to help clean out and organize my parent’s storage unit and attic and I’ve been totally drained most evenings. I usually come home, sit down, watched TV or YouTube, and play some World of Warcraft. My weekends have had me out at the storage unit helping move things or going over some friend’s places I haven’t seen in months. It’s left little time to put my face into the computer or tend to We Were Inverted.

So why am I telling you all this? Well, it’s because I don’t people to think the site is dormant. Now that I’m getting more comfortable at work and we’re almost done cleaning out the storage unit, I hope to have some more time to get back on here and write some features, do some interviews, and obviously, go ride some coasters. More on that later.

Pantheon was on a lot of crew member's 2022 listing of new credits.

Kaylee Kills in the Newest 'All the New Credits' Entry

I was finally able to publish “All the New Credits: 2022 – Who Earned the Most?” after a slight delay. I had kept up with everyone’s tally throughout the year, but several Crew Members snuck in last minute trips before the end of the year. Once I had all that verified, I began writing this annual blog entry. Then I got hired and yeah… I already mentioned all that.

If you haven’t checked out the blog yet, let me just say Kaylee ran away with the number one spot. I won’t say how many new credits she earned so you can check it out for yourself. Just know that she killed Sam’s previous record of 59 new credits in 2020. It’s going to very hard to beat.

Finishing a Set & Some History

In December I was able to purchase three of the seven pins in Busch Gardens Tampa’s (BGT) Mystery Box License Plate Set. In January I was able to pick up the remaining four from a seller on Facebook for a great price. With these now in my possession, I have now acquired all of the pins between the three sets – one from BGT and two from Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s (BGW). Not sure if BGT will release a second series too, but if they do, I’ll be sure to chase them down. These are one of my favorite series the chain has released.

With Virginia parks open year round now, I might run down one weekend to rides some favorites if the weather is good.

Twisted-Geist?

Nothing else really happened as far as the site is concerned last month. I was excited to see the Wildcat’s Revenge POV published by Hersheypark and can’t wait to visit the park once that opens. We have some time before that happens though and I’m itching to get in some rides. Both Kings Dominion and BGW are now in operation year round, with limited hours and ride operations. If one of these weekends looks promising with the weather, I think I might run down and hit up some favorites like Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion or Alpengeist at BGW.
